The 2009 release from Call Centre.
The story is mainly about David Chisholm (primary songwriter/instrumentalist) and an obsessive hobby that crystallized into a music project that earned the handle “Call Centre”. While on active duty in bands like, The Sycamores, Jack Macdonald & the Hotel Faces, Ceti Alpha and Doug Mason, Dave spent his time wandering aimlessly through the realm of low fi indi pop and basement recordings.
At some point it seemed to be a good idea to enlist some folks from the revolving door of friends and foes to help with the never-ending pile of unfinished demos. The plan was to turn these random thoughts and found sounds into a cohesive body of work that would be eventually titled “The Crustallion”.
Call Center will continue to record noisy folk songs with probably the same dumpster diving attitude that seems to let things happen with the most freedom and honesty.
